My HUAWEI WATCH Buds frequently disconnects from or fails to automatically reconnect to my phone

Make sure that you have installed the latest version of the Huawei Health app and updated your watch/earbuds to their latest versions.

My watch disconnects from/does not reconnect to my phone

My earbuds disconnected from my watch

If this issue occurs, perform the following steps:

  1. Place the earbuds back in the case, close the case for 10 seconds, and take the earbuds out again. Then wait for the watch and earbuds to automatically connect.

  2. Open the Huawei Health app, and go to Earbuds > Reset > Connect.
  3. After placing your earbuds in the case, restore your watch to its factory settings by going to Settings > System & updates > Reset on your watch.

My earbuds disconnected from my phone

It is normal for your earbuds to disconnect from your phone when they are in the case.

If your earbuds are outside the case and don't connect to your phone, place the earbuds back in the case, open the case again, and wait for the earbuds to automatically reconnect to your phone.

My earbuds do not automatically reconnect when the case is opened

  1. Make sure that your phone is within 10 meters of the earbuds.
  2. Make sure that the battery level of your earbuds is at least 20%. (To check the battery level of your earbuds, swipe down on the watch home screen to open the shortcut menu.)

  3. Make sure that your Bluetooth earbuds have been connected to your phone, and Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Wait for 15 seconds before opening the case again to trigger the reconnection between your earbuds and phone.
  4. If the reconnection still fails, disable and then enable Bluetooth on your phone, touch the earbuds' name to reconnect them, or unpair them and try pairing them again.
