AI Camera on my HUAWEI computer does not work
AI Camera on my HUAWEI computer does not work |
Problem
AI Camera on the computer cannot be used.
Cause
- If you have recently installed a Huawei PC Manager update which covers an AI Camera update, the configuration file may not be completely replaced. As a result, AI Camera cannot be used.
- AI Camera implements some algorithm functions based on the high-speed computing capability of the GPU. If the GPU driver is disabled or uninstalled, the algorithm processing running on it is abnormal.
- After the operating system is reinstalled or some third-party software is installed on the laptop, there is a possibility that common system DLL files, such as vcruntime140_1.dll, are missing in the C:\Windows\System32 directory. However, the AI Camera algorithm depends on these DLL files, as a result, AI Camera does not function properly.
Solution
- If you have updated Huawei PC Manager recently, uninstall Huawei PC Manager by going to download and install the latest Huawei PC Manager on your HUAWEI computer.
If the issue persists, check whether the PC Manager version is 13.0.6.600 (To do so, open Huawei PC Manager, click
in the upper right corner, and select About.) and whether there is a plugins.xml file in C:\Program Files\Huawei\PCManager\plugins. If the file exists, delete it and restart your computer.
. Then - Search for and open Device Manager on the taskbar, and find the Display adapters option. Check whether the graphics card driver is abnormal. If so, perform the following operations to recover it:
- If the Display adapters option is unavailable, the graphics card driver has been uninstalled.
- Click the Scan for hardware changes icon
. After the window is refreshed, the Display adapters option is displayed.
- Keep your computer connected to the Internet. Go to CHECK or Check for updates to install the latest graphics card driver.
- Right-click the M icon and the Control Panel icon in the lower right corner of the desktop to exit Huawei PC Manager and Control Panel, then exit the opened camera apps (such as Microsoft Camera and Tencent Meeting). Then refer to Using AI Camera in Huawei PC Manager to open AI Camera and try again.
- Click the Scan for hardware changes icon
- If the Display adapters option is available, check whether the device icon starting with Intel has a downward black arrow or yellow exclamation mark. If so, the graphics card driver is abnormal.
- If the device icon starts with Intel has a downward black arrow, perform the following steps:
- Right-click the option and select Enable device.
- Right-click the option and select Enable device.
- If a device icon starting with Intel is marked with a yellow exclamation mark, perform the following steps:
- Right-click the option and select Uninstall device.
- If the device icon starts with Intel has a downward black arrow, perform the following steps:
- If the Display adapters option is unavailable, the graphics card driver has been uninstalled.
- Open C:\Windows\System32 and check whether the vcruntime140_1.dll and opencl.dll files exist in the directory. If they are unavailable, download and decompress the .dll files in the attachment, and copy the missing .dll files to C:\Windows\System32, right-click the M icon and Control Panel icon in the lower right corner of the desktop to exit Huawei PC Manager and Control Panel, then exit the opened camera apps (such as Microsoft Camera and Tencent Meeting). Then double-click the M icon to reopen Huawei PC Manager and the camera apps to check whether AI Camera works properly.
