- The next-generation wireless charging modules are used in the next-generation HUAWEI watches released after May 2025. Featuring a more compact design, the next-generation charging modules make the watches slimmer and more refined, enhancing the overall wearing experience. This change may result in differences in your experience when you use a previous charging base.
The next-generation HUAWEI watches refer to the HUAWEI WATCH 5 Series, HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series, HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 Series, and HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series.
- For optimal fast charging performance, use the wireless charging base that comes with your watch, namely the 2nd-gen HUAWEI WATCH Wireless SuperCharger. You can identify it by checking the model (CW05) on the rear side of the charging base.
The watch displays a message indicating that it cannot be charged
- If you are using a non-standard charging base, the watch will display a message indicating that it cannot be charged.
- You can check the model on the rear side of the charging base. If the charging base is a HUAWEI WATCH Wireless SuperCharger (model: CW03 or KPG-W020), the watch will not be able to charge.
For optimal charging performance, use the 2nd-gen HUAWEI WATCH Wireless SuperCharger that comes with your watch (model: CW05).
The watch displays a message indicating slow charging
- If you are using a non-standard charging base, the watch will display a message indicating slow charging.
- You can check the model on the rear side of the charging base. If the charging base is a HUAWEI WATCH Wireless Charger (model: CP80-1 or CP81-1) or HUAWEI WATCH Wireless QuickCharger (model: CW02 or CW04), the charging speed may be slow.
For optimal charging performance, use the 2nd-gen HUAWEI WATCH Wireless SuperCharger that comes with your watch (model: CW05).
SuperCharge is not displayed when I charge my HUAWEI WATCH 5 Series watch
- Use a 10 V/2.25 A or higher HUAWEI adapter and the 2nd-gen HUAWEI WATCH Wireless SuperCharger that comes with your watch to charge your watch, and SuperCharge will be displayed.
- SuperCharge is not displayed when your WATCH 5 is in Battery saver mode.
