If your HUAWEI watch/band cannot power on, automatically powers off, or restarts on its own, here's what you can do:
Scenario 1: The watch/band does not respond when you press the button to power it on for the first time
To reduce power consumption during transportation, it may take a longer time for the watch/band to power on for the first time after unpacking. If the watch/band does not respond when you press and hold the watch crown/side button, perform the following steps:
- Press and hold the watch crown/side button for more than 25 seconds and check whether the power-on logo is displayed.
- If the issue persists, the battery may have drained during transportation or storage. Place the device on the charging cradle for more than 30 minutes and check whether the device automatically powers on.
- If the device still cannot power on after you charge it for 30 minutes and long-press the button for 25 seconds, the battery may be damaged. In this case, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Scenario 2: The watch/band automatically powers off when the battery level is low
Our products are designed with the features and safety needs of lithium batteries in mind. When your watch/band powers off due to low battery and is connected to a standard charging cradle, the system will begin charging based on the battery level. If your watch/band has been overdischarged, it may not power on when you press the button. In this case, you will need to charge your watch/band for a while to compensate for the power loss caused by overdischarge.
Solution
- Connect your watch/band to the charging cradle and power adapter, and wait for at least 15 minutes. If you see the charging icon or battery level displayed, the watch/band is charging properly and will automatically power on.

- If your watch/band still won't power on after 1 hour of charging, or if it powers off again after being removed from the charging cradle, there may be a hardware issue. In this case, back up your data, and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Scenario 3: The watch/band unexpectedly powers off or restarts
If your watch/band unexpectedly powers off or restarts during use, follow these operations to troubleshoot the issue:
Update your watch/band to the latest version for the optimal experience
If your watch/band can still be used temporarily after an automatic power-off or restart, we recommend checking if it's running the latest software version. If it is not, update the watch/band to the latest version, and check whether the issue is resolved.
Wear your watch/band correctly
Wear your watch/band in the way shown in the following figure. Specifically, fasten the strap snugly, leaving one finger's width between the watch and your wrist bone. This prevents accidental button presses, which can cause the device to power off or restart.

This is especially important in winter when bulkier clothing might contribute to accidental presses or static discharge.
Ensure that your watch/band is in a proper temperature range
Your watch/band functions best within a temperature range of 0°C and 35°C, and can be stored safely between –20°C and +45°C. If the ambient temperature goes beyond these recommended limits, the system will activate its overtemperature protection, causing the device to power off automatically to safeguard the battery and internal components. If this happens, place your watch/band in a cool, well-ventilated place and wait for it to return to a normal temperature before powering it on.
Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or a hot car, especially during summer. When wearing your watch/band for extended periods during outdoor workouts, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight.
If the issue persists
If the issue persists, there may be a hardware issue. In this case, back up your watch/band data, and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.
