Add friends doesn't work when I shake the HUAWEI kids watch

 

• Shaking to add friends is only available on HUAWEI kids watches.
• Shaking to add friends requires that the two kids watches are placed within two meters of each other.
• The shake-to-add-friends feature works only when the kids watches are powered on and connected to the Internet.

If Add friends doesn't work when you shake the kids watch, or the other party's watch can't be identified, perform the following steps:

1. Make sure that the network connection is normal and try again. You can check whether the watch can be located by opening the HUAWEI FamCare app and tapping Protection. If the watch can be located, it indicates that the network connection is normal.
2. Make sure that the HUAWEI FamCare app and watch are running their latest versions. If not, update them and try again. For details about how to update the kids watch to the latest version, see Updating.
3. Shaking to add friends only works between two watches. It is recommended that you do not use this feature when there is signal interference from too many watches nearby, and that you place the two target watches close to each other.
4. Disable the shake-to-add-friends feature and then enable it again: Go to HUAWEI FamCare > Devices > App management > App limits > Add friends, and toggle the switch for Shake to add/Allow watch to add friends off and then on.
