Noise canceling mode or Awareness mode is different on the left and right FreeBuds series/WATCH Buds earbuds |
If you feel that noise cancellation in the left and right earbuds is inconsistent after you enable Noise canceling mode or Awareness mode, perform the following steps to troubleshoot:
- Clean the earbuds in a timely manner to remove any foreign objects from the holes on the earbuds.
The microphone holes of HUAWEI FreeBuds 6 are located on the rear of the earbuds handles. In this case, when you use the earbuds to adjust the volume, you may touch the microphone holes accidentally and leave dust and other foreign objects on the holes, resulting in poor noise cancellation or awareness performance. It is recommended that you clean the earbuds in a timely manner.
- Choose a suitable size of ear tips (if applicable) and adjust the earbuds' position to ensure a snug fit.
- Update the earbuds' firmware to the latest version and make sure that the battery level of the earbuds is higher than 20%.
- Reset the earbuds and pair them with your phone/tablet again.
- Make sure that the Balance bar on the connected device is in the middle.
- For HarmonyOS/Android devices: Go to Settings, navigate to Balance, and slide the Balance bar to the middle.
- For iOS devices: Go to Settings, navigate to Stereo left/right channel balance, and slide the Balance bar to the middle.
If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
