Connecting my HUAWEI Bluetooth earbuds to a phone, tablet, or PC

This document applies only to HUAWEI earbuds. For details about earbuds of other brands, refer to their respective user guides or consult the device vendor.

Connecting the earbuds to a phone/tablet

Put the earbuds in Pairing mode.
On your phone/tablet, go to Settings > Bluetooth and touch the name of the earbuds in the device list to pair with the earbuds.
Once connected, we recommend downloading the ‌AI Life App‌ or ‌HUAWEI Audio Connect App‌ from the app store to unlock more earbuds features.

The steps for reconnecting the earbuds after unpairing them are the same as those for connecting for the first time. If the connection fails, refer to Unable to connect to or find the Bluetooth name of HUAWEI Bluetooth earbuds.
When using a newly purchased single earbud or earbud charging case, first place both earbuds into the case and open the lid. Press and hold to reset the earbuds to factory settings, then re-pair and connect them.

Connecting the earbuds to a PC

PCs running Windows 10/Windows 11

Put the earbuds in Pairing mode.
In the lower left corner of the desktop, click the Start menu and then the Settings icon.
Go to Devices > Add Bluetooth or other device. In the Add a device window, select Bluetooth. The PC will automatically search for Bluetooth devices nearby.
Find and click the name of the earbuds or speaker on your PC. Wait until a message is displayed indicating that your device is ready to go.

PCs running macOS

Put the earbuds in Pairing mode.
Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner and select System Preferences. On the displayed settings window, select Bluetooth. The PC will automatically search for nearby Bluetooth devices. Once the earbuds are detected, click Connect next to the earbuds name.

How to enter Bluetooth pairing mode

The earbuds will automatically enter Pairing mode when you power them on for the first time.

1. FreeBuds series/FreeClip series/FreeArc (with a Function button)

Place both earphones in the charging case and keep the lid open. Press and hold the Function button for at least 2 seconds , until the indicator flashes white.

2. FreeBuds SE 2 (without a Function button)

Open the charging case and keep the lid open. Touch and hold the touch control areas on the left and right handles for at least 3 seconds until the indicator on the charging case flashes white.

3. FreeLace series

Flip the Power switch to expose the green dot. Separate the earbuds from each other. Press and hold the Function button for 2 seconds or longer until the indicator flashes white.

The Function button is not supported for pairing while the earbuds are connected via the USB port.
