Check the indicator status on the charging case to determine how much power the earphones or case has.

Indicator Status

Description

Steady green

For FreeClip earphones, the indicator will be steady green for 10 seconds and then go dark.

The case is charging (battery level ≥ 90%).

Green for 10 seconds when the case is opened, then turns off

Sufficient battery (battery level ≥ 60%)

FreeClip/FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeBuds SE 2/FreeBuds 5/FreeBuds 5i: sufficient battery (battery level ≥ 40%)

Steady yellow

For FreeClip earphones, the indicator will be steady yellow for 10 seconds and then go dark.

The case is charging (battery level < 90%).

Yellow for 10 seconds when the case is opened, then turns off

Medium battery (20% ≤ battery level < 60%).

FreeClip/FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeBuds SE 2/FreeBuds 5/FreeBuds 5i: medium battery (20% ≤ battery level < 40%)

Flashes white

After the function button is pressed and held for 2 seconds, the earphones in the charging case will enter Pairing mode.

For FreeBuds SE 2, place the earphones in the charging case and keep the lid open. Touch and hold the touch control area on the left and right handles for 3 seconds until the status indicator flashes white.

Flashes red

After the function button is pressed and held for 10 seconds, the earphones in the charging case will start restoring to their factory settings.

For FreeBuds SE 2, place the earphones in the charging case and keep the lid open. Touch and hold the touch control area on the left and right handles for 10 seconds until the status indicator flashes red.

Red for 10 seconds when the case is opened, then turns off

Low battery (battery level < 20%).

Off

The case is out of power.

Turns off

The charger has been removed.

 
  • The FreeBuds SE 2/FreeBuds 4/FreeBuds 4i/FreeBuds SE earphones have an indicator on the outside of the charging case. This indicator either indicates the battery level of the only earphone in the charging case, the earphone with the lower battery level in the charging case, or the battery level of the charging case when neither earphone is in the case.
  • The indicator on the FreeClip's charging case will be steady on for 3 seconds after the case is closed. This indicator either indicates the battery level of the earphone with the lower battery level in the charging case, or the battery level of the charging case when neither earphone is in the case.
