The battery levels for the left and right HUAWEI FreeBuds series/WATCH Buds earphones are different
  1. The earphone first taken out of the charging case usually serves as the primary earphone. When both earphones are worn during phone calls, only the microphone on the primary earphone will be used. In addition, the primary earphone needs to maintain a stable connection with the phone while transmitting data with the secondary earphone. Therefore, it tends to consume more power than the secondary earphone, which causes the battery levels of the left and right earphones to differ. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your earphones.
  2. The battery ages with increased usage time, and the battery capacity decreases. If you tend to wear just one earphone, the battery capacity of that earphone will decrease faster, leading to different battery levels between the two earphones.
  3. When spatial audio is enabled on FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeBuds Pro 2, the battery levels of the two earphones may differ greatly. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your earphones.

If you tend to wear just one earphone, that earphone will consume more power than the other earphone. Try cycling through both earphones instead.

If you notice that the battery levels of the two earphones are significantly different, perform the following steps:

  1. Update the earphones' firmware to the latest version.
  2. Restore the earphones to their factory settings and reconnect them.
  3. Fully charge the earphones, wear them for a while, and check whether their battery levels are the same. If the battery levels still differ significantly, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
