The AI Life app failed to detect the name of my HUAWEI Eyewear series device

Please refer to Pair and connect my HUAWEI Eyewear series device, and pair and connect your eyewear with your phone/tablet. If the AI Life app fails to detect the name of the eyewear or you are unable to manually add the eyewear, follow the steps below to troubleshoot:

  1. Update the AI Life app to its latest version. If your phone/tablet is running EMUI 10.0/HarmonyOS 2.0 or later, update your eyewear to the latest version via Bluetooth by following the instructions in Update my HUAWEI Eyewear series device.
  2. Hold down on the Function button for at least 3 seconds until the indicator flashes, which indicates that the eyewear enters Pairing mode. If you are using an Android phone, the AI Life app will add an eyewear card by default. If you are using an iPhone, connect your eyewear to your phone via Bluetooth, and then use the AI Life app to add the eyewear manually or scan the QR code. To do this, touch + in the upper right corner of the home screen of the AI Life app, and select the eyewear to add it.
     
    • HUAWEI Eyewear series products support the iOS-based AI Life app. The HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear series devices can be set through the EYEWEAR app (iOS).
    • A Bluetooth device is connected via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) in the AI Life app on an iOS device, so there are two identical names for the Bluetooth device. This is a normal occurrence. Please keep the Bluetooth device connected in both the system Bluetooth settings, and the AI Life app.

If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to a nearby Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
