Ensure that the following conditions are met
Account |
Nano-SIM Card |
System |
---|---|---|
Make sure that the number of the SIM card inserted into the kids' watch is the same as the HUAWEI ID logged in on the kids' watch. |
Use a standard Nano-SIM card that does not have a negative balance and has data service and SMS activated on your kids' watch, to make sure that the network is normal. (The virtual carrier card, IoT card, and secondary card of the Multi-SIM service are not supported.) |
Make sure that the kids' watch and the HUAWEI FamCare app are updated to their latest versions. |
Note:
- Main admin: To view the HUAWEI ID logged in on the kids' watch, open the HUAWEI FamCare app and touch Devices > Frequently used > More > Phone number/HUAWEI ID (watch).
- Only video calls with watch admins and friends are supported.
"Configuring watch video call settings. Try again later." displays
- Wait for five minutes and try again.
- If the issue persists, make a video call using the HUAWEI FamCare app. If this succeeds, make a video call on the kids' watch again.
- If the video call still fails, restart the kids' watch and try again.
"Other party is offline." displays
Make sure the watch is powered on and properly connected to the network, and try again.
The phone doesn't receive any notifications after a video call is made from the watch
- Make sure that your watch and phone have a stable network connection.
- Make sure that the camera is enabled when you're making the call. (You can see your profile picture on the watch screen.)
- Admin: Enable the HUAWEI FamCare app notifications on your phone
- Set permissions for apps protected in the background, to make sure that the HUAWEI FamCare app can keep running in the background.
- Enable banner notifications (taking HUAWEI phones as an example): Go to Settings > Notifications & status bar > HUAWEI FamCare, enable Allow notifications, and select Lock screen notifications and Banners.
The watch doesn't receive any notifications after a video call is made from the phone
- Try making a video call from your watch.
- If your phone can't receive the video call, make sure that you have logged in to your watch and your watch is properly connected to the network, and try again.
- If your phone can receive the video call, restart your watch and try again.
- This may have been caused by an account login on another device. Log out of the device and try again.
Due to the restrictions of your phone's system, you are unable to use Video call to call the watch if you are using a HUAWEI phone in PrivateSpace.
If the issue persists
Ask all admins to unlink from the watch, re-link with it, and try again. Be aware that unlinking all admins from the watch will cause the watch to restore to its factory settings, resulting in data loss. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
If the issue persists, please call the Huawei customer service hotline for further assistance.
