When you request a location on the phone, HUAWEI FamCare sends this request to the server, which then instructs the watch to locate itself. If the watch is powered on and connected to the Internet (either via mobile data or Wi-Fi), it will promptly report its location. The watch's location is then displayed in the HUAWEI FamCare app. This process involves network interaction and may take some time.

If the watch has a weak signal, is powered off, out of credit, or has a poor mobile data connection, the app may not receive messages from the watch. For further instructions on how to troubleshoot the issue, refer to "Watch not connected to the Internet" is displayed in the HUAWEI FamCare app.

- As shown in the following figure, if the watch is powered off, you won't be able to get the latest location information from the HUAWEI FamCare app. Try again once the watch is powered on.

- If neither the child nor the admins have powered off the watch, it may have run out of battery. The issue should be resolved once the watch is charged and powered on, and connects to the Internet again.
- To view or modify Schedule on/off settings: Open the HUAWEI FamCare app and go to Devices > Device power on/off > Schedule on/off.
- To disable the watch from powering off automatically: Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, go to Devices > Device power on/off, and enable Disable Power button on watch.

To locate the kids watch using the HUAWEI FamCare app, both the watch and your phone need to be connected to the Internet. If either device is not connected or has a poor signal, the watch may fail to be located.
If there's an issue with the phone network, check the HUAWEI FamCare app's connection or switch to mobile data. Once the connection is restored, try locating the watch again.
