If the displayed battery level of the earbuds is not reliable, perform the following steps:
- Update earbuds' firmware and the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app to their latest versions.
- Put the earbuds into the charging case, keep the case open, and wait for about 15 seconds.
- The earbuds and charging case will update the battery levels and sync them to your phone, tablet, or computer.
- You can check the battery level of your earbuds by referring to Viewing the battery level of my HUAWEI earbuds.
- If the displayed battery level of the earbuds is still not reliable, restore the earbuds to factory settings and pair them again.
- If your earbuds (such as FreeBuds Pro 5) support smart recording, open the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app, go to to save recording files before you restore your earbuds to factory settings. Otherwise, your recording files will be lost.
- If your earbuds support Offline search, pair them with your device again after you restore your earbuds to factory settings. Otherwise, the location information of the earbuds in the Find Device app will not be updated any more. (iOS and non-HUAWEI Android devices do not support Offline search and do not need to be paired again.)
- The charging case updates the battery level display and the charging status icon only when the earbuds are placed in the charging case.
If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
